Fall 2016 – The Picker Building has been sold to Clocktower Apartment complex. Many of the artists who had studios in the Picker Building have moved across the street and formed the Picker Collaborative Artists. Other creative residents of the Picker Building have moved to other parts of Nashua, Manchester, Lowell, and other towns.
The Picker Building is an old cotton mill building located alongside the Nashua River among the historic mill yard in Nashua NH. What was once a textile and cotton mill was up until recently a creative community for artists, artisans, small business owners and other creative themed companies. In 2017 the building will be sold and will be turned into apartments.
• Just a reminder that a group of former Picker Building tenants have new studios at 3 Pine Street, located almost directly across the road from the Picker Building. Visit them at www.pickerartists.com
• On August 25th 2017 Jack Bolger, former owner of the Picker Building, passed away. On behalf of the former tenants, he will be remembered as someone who was willing to rent to creatives and small businesses and who helped the creatives of Nashua find a home. He will be missed.
• In the fall of 2016 the last of the creative residents said goodbye to the Picker Building. In 2017 the paperwork will be signed and the sale of the Picker Building will be complete. Clocktower Apartments has purchased the building and will be turned into apartments.
Some of the former creative tenants have moved down the street and formed the Picker Collaborative Artists, located at 3 Pine Street. Please visit them and continue to support local art.
